Our next 200hr Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training is now open for registration. We begin the journey on September 30th 2023. 

Wilkie Wellness provides a unique trauma informed program integrating the spirit of Yoga and science of Ayurveda. This training is open to everyone, we do not require applications of any sort. There is nothing you need to do “prepare” for this, all that you are is enough and we can’t wait to have you! 

We will create a sacred space together where you are safe to immerse yourself with knowledge and practical experience through the teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda. Discover the transformative power of these ancient healing practice through a trauma informed lens. Expand on your current abilities and personal practice and watch yourself evolve.

This program offers the essential tools though Ayurveda and Yoga to facilitate health, healing and longevity for everyone including yourself, family members and clients. Through this experience you will live and teach from a place of grounded wisdom and intelligence; balancing ancient tradition and current scientific understanding of modern yoga.

*Non refundable deposit of $800 is due upon registration via etransfer to wilkiewellness@gmail.com. A confirmation email and contract will be sent once payment is received. Payment plans are available and can be filled out in the contract to be reviewed and approved.

Certification: Once your practicum hours are complete you will be a certified 200hr yoga teacher. This certificate does not certify you as a Yoga or Ayurvedic Therapist. 

We acknowledge a gross under-representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) in the health and wellness industry in our province, but we are committed to doing our part to help change this.

We believe one main key in making wellness accessible to all is by encouraging not only body diversity, but also diversity in race & ethnicity, in teachers and studio owners. In order to eliminate some of the barriers around certification, we've developed a partial scholarship and work exchange program (discount between 25-50%) for prospective people of color with a commitment to health and wellness. 

We are accepting applications from BIPOC individuals and give priority to applicants who want to intentionally share their education with their community in a meaningful way.

YTT with Sam was a transformative experience for me, one of tremendous growth and healing. I pushed my limits and smashing through my comfort zone that was holding me back from further growth. I found more confidence in myself and my abilities to share of myself to be in service of others and ultimately I grew in ways I didn’t even know I needed to grow. I let go of limiting beliefs and achieved a long desired life goal of becoming a yoga teacher. And I was able to do this all because of the amazing community of souls who came together in the training. Sam is authentic, extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and very real in how she shows up and how she supports everyone, exactly where they are. Under her example and in the sacred space we created and held for each other, we forged a community of caring, support, and healing energy unlike anything I had ever experienced before. The community of women and the relationships I created is invaluable to me on my journey. I am grateful to Sam, and everyone who participated in the training, and all the other beautiful souls from Wilkie who came in to teach us portions of the training and also let us assist in their classes to practice what we were learning. Something kept drawing me towards the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Wilkie. Whenever I would go to a yoga class at the studio I would always look at the poster for the training with Sam Wilkie. I had no intention of being a yoga teacher, I was just interested in gaining my own personal practice. Once I began my Yoga Teacher Training everything changed... I began my own personal healing, and most importantly I found a love within myself that I never thought was possible. Once the training came to an end I was so egur to share my passion with others. I could not wait to teach yoga. Wilkie Wellness has provided me with a safe healing space and I am now fortunate enough to share my own passion there. I am forever grateful for this journey that yoga has taken me on.

When I registered for teacher training I had no intention of actually being a teacher. The thought hadn’t even crossed my mind. It was the description of the training.. ‘This is going to be a transformative, life altering healing journey’. I was hooked at ‘life-altering healing journey’. The training did not disappoint. Sam creates the safest of environments. She is knowledgeable, passionate and so incredibly wise. As we reached each milestone in class; presenting our first body scan, guided meditation and then yoga class I didn’t once feel unsure or nervous. I found a confidence in this training that I have always lacked. I surrendered to vulnerability and discovered my authentic self. Five months after the training, I am teaching yoga and I love it, I have found my passion. I am still on my own personal healing journey- I never would have gotten started without the training. I have a soul group of individuals who started this journey with me, and who I can lean on for support. I have found friendship. It truly was a life-altering journey and I would recommend this training to absolutely everyone.

The beauty of the yoga teacher training at Wilkie Wellness was in Sam's ability to model how best to create a safe platform for sharing personal stories and experiences.
