Merrett originally started on the path of yoga during her time in college, to help relieve her mind, body, and soul from the stress that seemed to be neverendingly weighing her down. She quickly discovered that yoga was and is so much more than what the practice first led her to believe.
This path eventually led Merrett to complete her 200hr Trauma Informed Teacher Training through Wilkie Wellness. Merrett will forever be a life-long student of yoga, and learning. She is constantly striving to continue to playfully learn, and grow within her own experiences, and practice. She wholeheartedly believes in the power of yoga, and nature to help bring ourselves back into deep connection with our true selves, as well as providing a profound space for healing.
Besides her love for yoga, you can often find Merrett off the mat, spending her time wandering, dreaming, and seeking stillness in the beauty of nature. She absolutely adores to be out exploring on adventures, whether it be by hiking, downhill skiing, or kayaking. If she is completely listening to her introverted-Hobbit heart, you may also find her tucked into a cozy nook with a good cup of tea, a yummy treat, a great book, or a fun creative project.
Her classes are a loving infusion of ancient wisdom, modern science, and deep relaxation; woven together with her deep love, and appreciation for nature. Merrett is incredibly passionate about creating an inclusive, compassionate, and safe place for her students to further their practice. It is her hope that after attending her class, you will feel inspired, at ease, and completely at one with your true rested self.
