Samantha's Bio

Yoga & Ayurvedic Therapist ~ Specializing in Women's Health Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula

My studentship began when I was 16 years old and I became deeply devoted to the path of yoga in my early 20’s. This journey has led me to thousands of certified hours of training from many different teachers and styles of yoga, including my two year Yoga therapy certification from Mount Royal University in 2015.

I have devoted most of my life to studying yoga philosophy, therapeutic movement, trauma informed care and Ayurvedic Medicine. When I’m not deep in study or enjoying  family time you can find me with clients teaching embodied yoga classes, offering Ayurvedic bodywork, consultations and postpartum care and running our 200hr Yoga & Ayurveda teacher training program. It is my greatest honour to live, share and teach these ancient healing systems.

For me yoga is more than the asanas or postures that make up the physical practice, these are actually only the most superficial aspect of this profound unfolding of infinite potentials of the human body and spirit. To me yoga and Ayurveda is a lifestyle, a state of being and above all, a path home. The style of yoga I practice and teach is deeply therapeutic and has roots in both Hatha and Bhakti, focusing primarily on energetic alignment. This unique approach provides the space to nurture one’s inner being, elongate our capacity to feel and expand our ability to love.

I am indebted to all the teachers that have come before me and bow to all those who will come after me. It is with something indescribable that I have found my way home through the wisdom of both yoga and Ayurveda.

Aum Shanti
